Blackadder goes forth in triumph again

We are delighted to have won Gold and two top awards, plus eight Silver and six Bronze awards in the recent Malt Maniacs independent blind tastings.

Our Isle of Jura 1988 50.2% Raw Cask Statement won a Gold award, Best Premium Whisky and Best Natural Cask Scotch Whisky, while in the European category, our Raw Cask English 63.4% from St George’s was voted Beat Peated Whisky – Europe
(ex. Scotland).

There were Silver awards for:

•The English Raw Cask 63.4% – Heavily Peated

•The English Raw Cask 6YO 66.6% – Sherry Cask

• Black Snake 58.7% Third Venom for Whisky Import Nederland

•Raw Cask Smoking Islay 60.2%

•Raw Cask Peat Reek 57.3% for Taiwan

•Raw Cask Ledaig 8YO 59.8% 

•The Old Man of Hoy Orcadian 12YO 58.8% for Taiwan

•Glen Moray 10YO 57.6%

Bronze awards went to:

•Puff Adder Blended Malt 46%

•Raw Cask Bunnahabhain 10YO 61.4%

•Red Snake 60.7% Guyana Rum Cask Finish

•Raw Cask Smoking Islay 60.1% for Taiwan

•Raw Cask Ben Nevis 20YO 56.2%

•Blackadder Chimera

These awards crown another successful year for Blackadder, despite the difficulties 2020 has brought for us all, proving that the Cask really is King.
